BOSTON —A deadly crash in Boston’s North End brings grief to the town of Wellesley after two of the three victims were identified as graduates of Wellesley High School.
The crash was reported on Commercial Street around 2:45 a.m. when a BMW hit a car, rolled over and ejected the three passengers.
Connor Darcey, 21, a Wellesley graduate and goalkeeper for the Penn State lacrosse team, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Another Wellesley graduate, Harry James, 21, survived the crash.
The third victim, a 27-year-old who still hasn’t been publicly identified, also died from his injuries.
Police said they do not know who was driving the vehicle, but believe speed was a factor in the crash.
James was listed in good condition at Massachusetts General Hospital.
Darcey’s lacrosse teammates are expected to arrive in Wellesley on Saturday to pay their respects to his family.
The crash remains under investigation.
