NEW DURHAM, N.H. —One person is dead after two cars collided on a road in New Hampshire Saturday.
Police responded to a report of a fatal crash on Route 11 west of Tash Road in New Durham.
Police say a green 1996 Ford F150 was traveling westbound and a blue 2012 Ford Fusion was traveling eastbound. For unknown reasons, the green Ford swerved into westbound lane and into the oncoming path of the blue Ford causing the crash.
Police say the driver of the blue Ford, Lynwood L. Carter, 83, of Dover, New Hampshire, suffered life-threatening injuries and died on the scene. A female passenger, Sally S. Carter, 80, of Dover, New Hampshire, was med-flighted from Frisbie Memorial Hospital to Maine Medical Center where she remains in critical condition.
The driver of the green Ford, Christopher Riley, 21 of Abington, Massachusetts, suffered serious, but non-life-threatening injuries and was transported by ground to Maine Medical Center.
