ASHLAND, Mass. (WHDH) -It was a close call inside an Ashland convenience store when a car came crashing through the wall with a clerk just feet away.
The crash was caught on camera when it happened at around 6:30 Thursday night.
The SUV crashed into the front of the store on Union Street.
“It horrible. The candy was on the floor, the machines were on the floor and I was very scared,” Josseyln Tobar, the store clerk, said.
Tobar was working in the store with another employee when the SUV went barreling in.
Glass, candy and pieces of the counter were thrown everywhere.
Video from outside the store shows the SUV on a clear path right into the window.
Witnesses say another vehicle hit the SUV and sent it flying.
The damage is extensive and the store will remain closed until repairs are complete.
