A portion of Route 9 East in Newton, Massachusetts, was closed Wednesday morning after at least one vehicle collided with a utility pole.
Police said the crash happened just before Dudley Road, not far from the Chestnut Hill shopping area.
Authorities had to cut the victims from the vehicle.
Two people were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Eversource crews were at the scene working on repairs to the utility pole and wires.
State police said all eastbound lanes will remain closed until crews can secure the pole.
Authorities said delays on Route 9 extended to Interstate 95/Route 128.
