Emergency Crews Respond to Two-Car Crash in Holyoke

HOLYOKE, Mass. (WGGB) — Emergency crews responded to a two-car crash in Holyoke on Saturday afternoon.

It happened at the corner of Elm and Cabot Streets just after 12 p.m.

ABC40 was first on scene. Our crews reported seeing an SUV on its side and a silver sedan that had just hit a cement light pole, which had fallen over.

A woman was seen being removed from the SUV by witnesses before police and other emergency crews had arrived. The driver of the sedan was already out of his vehicle.

Officials have not yet confirmed the extent of any injuries or what caused the crash. Witnesses told our crews that they saw the sedan driving up Elm St. towards Cabot St. when it struck the SUV, which was driving up Cabot St.

ABC40 will continue to update this story as more information becomes available.
