Five-car crash sends two to hospital on Route 24 in Raynham

RAYNHAM – Two people were taken to the hospital after a five-car crash on Route 24 North in Raynham Monday morning.

Massachusetts State Police Trooper Todd Nolan said the five vehicles rear-ended one another near Exit 13B.

Lynne Cabral, 27, of Dartmouth, who was operating a 2011 Hyundai Accent, and Marilha Lopes, 26, of Fall River, who was driving a 2004 Honda Pilot, were both taken to Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton with non-life threatening injures.

Nolan said both complained of head and neck soreness.

Also involved were a 62-year-old male from Swansea operating a 2010 Ford Econo-Wagon, a 20-year-old female from Fall River driving a 2003 Mazda Tribute and a 33-year-old male from Stoughton operating a 2008 Nissan Altima. Nolan said all three were uninjured.

The accident had a significant impact on traffic and the road was cleared by 8:20 a.m.

The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
