A 62-year-old Framingham man died this morning after his Toyota Camry crashed into a stopped tractor-trailer on Rte. 9, according to police.
Peter Stark, of Tally Ho Lane, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, Framingham Police Department spokesperson Lt. Ron Brandolini said.
Brandolini said the tractor trailer had come to a stop on the westbound side of Rte. 9 in front of Walmart in Framingham when the Camry Stark was driving slammed into the rear of the truck.
Brandolini said there were no skid marks at the scene, indicating that Stark might have driven into the tractor-trailer without stopping. Stark was the only person in his car, Brandolini said.
The Camry went underneath the truck’s rear, tearing off the car’s front windshield, Brandolini said.
“We don’t know if he even realized the truck was stopped,” Brandolini said.
The truck driver has no reported injuries, Brandolini said.
Massachusetts State Police have sent a reconstruction crew to investigate the accident.
