Motorcycle Accident Sends Man to Hospital

Massachusetts State Police and Wilmington Police reconstructing the scene Saturday afternoon.

Massachusetts State Police and Wilmington Police were on scene of a serious motorcycle crash this afternoon, recreating the accident for investigators.

At 1:49 p.m., Wilmington Police were called to 316 Lowell St., across from the Mobile Station, for a report of a motorcycle accident. The call was reportedly received from an Action Ambulance unit who was already transporting a patient when paramedics witnessed the accident.

The patient, who was described as approximately 30 years old was reportedly unconscious and unresponsive, but did have a pulse when he was medflighted to the hospital by officials.

State Police officials recreated the scene at 2:30 p.m. this afternoon, but both lanes of traffic were still open to motorists.
