BOSTON – A motorcyclist has died in a accident on the Boston side of the Massachusetts Avenue Bridge on Monday afternoon.
The bridge was closed in both directions but has since been reopened.
The motorcycle, which was headed from Cambridge into Boston, collided with a car and then a sport-utility vehicle. The motorcyclist was taken to Massachusetts General Hospital nearby, where he was pronounced dead, police said.
It is unknown yet whether any charges will be filed in the crash, which occurred at 2:30 p.m.
Mass state troopers from the Boston barracks along with troopers from the Crime Scene Service Section and Collision Analysis Reconstruction Section are responding to assist in the investigation.
