Video: Parker Street re-opens after two car crash in Springfield

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – At least four people were injured after a two-car crash on Parker Street in Springfield’s Sixteen Acres section, Wednesday night.

Springfield Police Lt. Brian Keenan told 22News four people were rushed to the hospital to be treated for serious injuries suffered in the crash.

A car and a Jeep Wrangler collided at the intersection of Parker Street and Gardens Drive at 9:15 p.m. Wednesday. Both of these vehicles have significant damage and about 20 yards apart from each other.

The Springfield Police Reconstruction is investigating.

About two blocks of Parker Street were closed between Sunrise Terrace and Gary Road while police investigated the accident. Police have not released any information on what may have caused the accident.

The road has since re-opened early Thursday morning.
