One person was killed and another injured when an oil truck and a car collided head-on on Plain Street in Marshfield on Saturday, May 7, 2011
MARSHFIELD — Police have identified the driver of a sedan who was killed Saturday when his car collided head-on with a fuel truck.
Paul J. Gendreau, 46, of Marshfield, was killed in the crash on Plain Street, Marshfield Police Captain Phil Tavares said. Marshfield and State Police are still investigating the accident, which also left the driver of the fuel truck with non-life threatening injuries.
Initial investigation and witness accounts suggest that Gendreau’s car crossed the double-yellow lines and drove into the path of the fuel truck, but further investigation is required to know what caused that, Tavares said.
Gendreau was alone in the car at the time of the crash and no other cars were involved, he said.
