Sudbury man dies in vehicle crash in Lincoln

Lincoln — Lincoln Public Safety received a 911 call reporting a loud crash in the area of Trapelo Road and Lexington Road on Sunday, Oct. 24, at approximately 12:32 a.m. On arrival, Lincoln police and fire personnel located a single-car motor vehicle accident, a car hitting a tree, on Trapelo Road in the area of #31.

The operator, who was the sole occupant of the vehicle, was transported to Lahey Clinic in Burlington by the Lincoln Fire Department and Emerson Hospital paramedics, where he later succumbed to his injuries.

The operator of the vehicle was later identified as Philip Lindsay, 63, from Sudbury. The accident is currently under investigation by both the Lincoln Police and Massachusetts State Police Accident Reconstruction Team.
