A Sudbury woman was seriously injured when she was hit by a car as she walked on Fairbank Road on Friday, police said.
The 66-year-old woman was taken to a Boston hospital after the 6 p.m. accident with what police described as “potentially life-threatening injuries.”
The woman’s condition was not known as of Monday, police spokesman Lt. Scott Nix said.
Police have not identified the woman nor the driver of the car that hit her. Police said the driver stayed at the scene of the accident until police arrived and was questioned.
The road was closed four about three and a half hours, police said.
Nix said the accident is being investigated by both the Sudbury and Massachusetts State Police. No one has been cited or charged.
