FRAMINGHAM – SKYFOX captured video of a suspect leading state police on a high-speed chase westbound on the Massachusetts Turnpike after a trooper saw him allegedly strike two pedestrians in Boston.
State police say 29-year-old Alejandro Serra of Framingham is the suspect involved in the chase which ended with a crash and the Serra in custody.
Three state police cruisers boxed the suspect’s car in and then nudged it into the Jersey barriers in the center of the highway, forcing it to crash.
The suspect then got out of the car and lay on the ground as nine state troopers held him down and took him into custody.
The chase and accident caused a long traffic backup before the highway reopened just before 1 p.m.
State police said one trooper was hurt.
