Teen injured in Sutton crash, faces drunken driving charge

SUTTON – A Millbury teenager faces a drunken driving charge after being involved in a single-car accident Sunday night on West Sutton Road, near Eight Lots Road.

Nicholas Malesky, 18, was the driver and sole occupant of the vehicle, which struck a tree about 6:50 p.m. Sunday.

Mr. Malesky was taken by Life Flight helicopter to UMass Memorial Medical Center – University Campus in Worcester. No information was available Monday night about his condition.

As a result of preliminary investigation, police said, Mr. Malesky will be be summoned to Uxbridge District Court on charges of driving under the influence of liquor, negligent driving, speeding, failing to wear a seat belt and a marked lanes violation.

Officers Joseph M. Fortunato and Ryan Montiverdi were first to arrive at the scene of the crash. The Sutton Fire Department and MedStar Ambulance also were dispatched. The Central Massachusetts Law Enforcement Council Accident Reconstruction Team was also called to assist with the investigation.
