A Thursday-night car crash involving three vehicles sent seven people to the hospital, none of them with serious injuries, according to the Somerville Fire Department and Massachusetts State Police.
The accident happened at around 10:35 p.m. at the intersection of Route 28 southbound (McGrath Highway) and Mystic Avenue, according to Trooper Todd Nolan of the Massachusetts State Police.
A 19-year-old man from Revere, who was driving a 1994 Acura, was cited as being responsible for the accident, and he was sent to Somerville Hospital, Nolan said. A passenger in his car, an 18-year-old woman from Everett, was sent to Massachusetts General Hospital, he said.
A 26-year-old woman from Chelsea and a number of males who were passengers in her car were also transported to Mass General.
A 24-year-old Medford man, driving a third car, was sent to Somerville Hospital.
The Somerville Fire Department responded with three trucks, according to Patrick Sullivan III, deputy chief of operations with the fire department.
