WOBURN – A rollover wreck in Woburn sent one to the hospital and made for a messy and slow commute Tuesday morning.
The tractor-trailer ended up on its side on 93 South. The accident happened right where it merges with 95.
The truck was carrying sheetrock, which spilled onto the road.
Traffic came to a crawl as three of the four lanes were closed for cleanup. All lanes are again open. Crews had the debris cleared by 10:00 Tuesday morning.
Police believe speed was a factor.
State police say the truck’s load shifted coming off the ramp, causing the driver to lose control and hit another car.
“As the truck was coming off the ramp, a lady traveling southbound on 128, the rear of her car was struck by some of the debris coming off the truck. She was transported to…she is going to be treated and released,” said Sgt. Byron Rizos of the Massachusetts State Police Department.
