WORCESTER, Mass. (AP) — Police in Worcester are questioning the driver of a dump truck that was believed to be involved in a fatal pedestrian accident in the city.
A 60-year-old Worcester man was struck at the intersection of Wall and Grafton Streets about 8 p.m. Thursday and died at a hospital. Witnesses told police the truck did not stop after hitting the victim, whose name was not immediately released.
The Telegram of Worcester (http://bit.ly/1DlHmJ1 ) reported that investigators, with the help of surveillance video from nearby businesses, were able to locate the truck and identify the driver.
Police said the driver was taken to police headquarters and was cooperating with the investigation.
