WINCHESTER — Two Massachusetts women were injured when the van they were riding in rolled over in a crash in Winchester Monday night.
Bonita-Micheale Aloisio, 24, of Athol was driving a Dodge Caravan south on Route 10. When she attempted a left turn onto Route 78, the van was broadsided by a Toyota Tacoma truck headed north on Route 10, driven by Paul Aloisi, 63, of Merrimack, according to Winchester police Lt. Christopher K. Roberts.
The van rolled onto its roof and Aloisio and her passenger, Elizabeth Rivera, 44, also of Athol, were taken to a hospital in Massachusetts to be treated for minor injuries, Roberts said. He didn’t know which hospital.
Aloisi wasn’t injured.
“The light turned green as both approached the intersection, so she went ahead and made her turn without stopping,” Roberts said, citing witnesses from other vehicles.
Neither speed nor alcohol appeared to be factors in the crash, he said.
The crash is still under investigation, Roberts said today.
