Victim in Foxborough crash identified as 61-year-old man

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. —One of the two drivers involved in a serious crash in Foxborough Monday afternoon has died, authorities reported Tuesday, the Milford Daily News reported.

The Norfolk County District Attorney’s Office issued a release identifying the deceased as Stephen Kozak, 61, of Millis.

Kozak was transported to Norwood Hospital following a two-car collision on Rte. 140 Monday afternoon. The accident happened about 4:50 p.m. at the intersection of Rte. 140 and South Cross Street when a maroon pickup truck and a black Nissan Altima collided.

Kozak was taken to the hospital after being extricated from the Nissan using the Jaws of Life. A medical helicopter was initially requested, but then was cancelled and Kozak was taken by ambulance to Norwood.

The other driver was treated at the scene and released. That driver has yet to be identified.

The crash remains under investigation by the patrol and detective divisions of the Foxborough Police Department, the Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section of the Massachusetts State Police, with the assistance of Norfolk District Attorney Michael W. Morrissey’s Office.
