Woman hurt in Weymouth accident

Police are talking to a driver who’s suspected of fleeing on foot from a two-car accident Saturday that injured a woman.

Lt. James Barry said this morning that a female driver of one of the vehicles suffered non-life-threatening injuries when her car was struck near 77 Pleasant St. at 2 p.m.

A clerk inside Commercial Integrated Technologies said he saw the driver of the other car get out of his car, pull out a cell phone and run away.

Barry said the injured woman was taken by ambulance to South Shore Hospital.  He didn’t identify her and said she was from out of town.

Barry said police are interviewing a man who’s suspected of being the other driver, but that no charges have been filed.
