New Hampshire State Police said a fatal crash occurred Thursday on Route 10 in Winchester.
Winchester police were called to Route 10, about 2 miles north of Northfield, Massachusetts, around 5:30 p.m. for a near head-on collision.
Investigation revealed that a Eric Williams, 29, of Springfield, Massachusetts, was driving a red 1998 Honda Civic north on NH Route 10 when he crossed over the double yellow line and struck a silver 2009 Subaru Forester that was traveling south.
Police said Williams was taken to Cheshire Medical Center in Keene with life-threatening injuries, but that he later succumbed to his injuries.
The driver of the Subaru — Gregory Wilson, 66, of Jacksonville, Vermont — was taken to Franklin Medical Center in Greenfield, Massachusetts, with non-life-threatening injuries.
The crash is still under investigation by the New Hampshire State Police.
