DECATUR, Texas—Four people have died in a head-on collision in rural Wise County.
Officials say the accident happened about 3:15 a.m. Saturday on Farm-to-Market 730, about six miles northeast of Decatur.
A northbound Ford F-350 pickup truck and a southbound Ford Mustang collided, and four passengers in the Mustang were declared dead at the scene. They included 19-year-old Kevin C. Brickey of Blue Mound and 19-year-old Vincent G. Williams of Wakefield, Mass. The names of the two others were not immediately released.
The car’s driver, 17-year-old Danny R. Nalley of Fort Worth, was airlifted to a Fort Worth hospital with serious injuries.
The driver of the pickup truck, 30-year-old Richard Rand was treated at a Decatur hospital.
The accident was under investigation.
Decatur is 42 miles north of Fort Worth.
