Police say an 18-year-old man crashed his into a house, and both car and house burst into flames.
The accident early Sunday morning apparently wasn’t the first time something like that has happened in the neighborhood, said the homeowner.
No one was hurt at the home of Clark Thompson, who is thankful no one was hurt. A car came careening down Perley Avenue in Peabody Sunday morning, and the force of the crash send boulders flying. The car hit the house, just to the left of the front door.
Peabody fire Capt. Bill Campbell was one of the first on scene and praised firefighters for their quick action.
The driver is still in serious condition in Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston.
