ATTLEBORO – Police say a pregnant woman was one of eight people injured when a car jumped a sidewalk and plowed into a line of people waiting outside a church food pantry in Attleboro.
Authorities say six of the people hurt Thursday, including the driver, were taken to the hospital with injuries that were not considered life-threatening. Two others declined hospitalization.
No names were made public.
The crash occurred at about 6 p.m. at the Hebron Food Pantry operated out of the basement of Centenary United Methodist Church.
Police tell The Sun Chronicle ( http://bit.ly/KhOqeO) the driver was a 64-year-old woman with a history of heart disease and seizures who may have suffered a medical problem just before the accident.
Witnesses described a chaotic scene with food and crying victims scattered across the grass.
