All four travel lanes and the breakdown lane are back open for business this morning on Interstate 95 in Woburn, where an accident late last night between a car and a tanker-truck ended with the truck toppling over and flooding the northbound lanes of the highway with 8,000 gallons of gasoline, state police said.
The truck driver, who was taken to Massachusetts General Hospital for non-critical injuries, is not likely to face charges, state police spokesman Lt. Daniel G. Richard said. However, Richard said, “The crash is still under investigation.”
The identities of the drivers involved and the owner of the tanker-truck have not yet been released by police.
The area surrounding the crash, including homes and a Hampton Inn hotel, were evacuated last night as a precaution.
