No injuries were reported in a rollover crash that slowed northbound traffic on Interstate 91 during a mid-day snow squall.
Firefighters were working to extricate a driver at the scene of the crash, which happened near exit 13, according to the Massachusetts State Police. The crash closed the highway’s right lane.
Greenfield police also reported slippery streets, including a response to Newton Street, where a caller stated that several vehicles were having trouble navigating a hill.
In response to the weather, the Massachusetts Department of Transportation canceled road tests as of 3 p.m. Wednesday in Springfield, North Adams, Chicopee, Easthampton, Greenfield, Southbridge.
A mix of rain and snow showers are in the forecast for the remainder of the afternoon,according to CBS3 Springfield meteorologist Nick Morganelli.
