A Massachusetts man was arrested for drunken driving during police questioning after a three-car accident in Bedford last Friday night.
David Lamond, 55, of Fall River, Mass., was arrested for driving while intoxicated.
Lamond was driving his 2003 Jeep Liberty around 8 p.m. Friday, April 29, and collided with two other cars, a 2001 Hyundai Elantra and a 2004 Honda Odyssey, near the intersection of Routes 114 south and 101, according to police.
No injuries were reported at the scene.
Bedford police officers spoke with all drivers involved following the accident. Officer Brian Masker noticed Lamond smelled of alcohol along with other “indicators of impairment,” police said.
Lamond was then arrested and taken to the Bedford Police Department to be processed.
He was released on $1,000 personal recognizance bail and is scheduled to appear at Merrimack District Court on May 16 at 8 a.m.
Bedford police encourage anyone with additional information about the collision to contact the Police Department at 472-5113.
