Massachusetts Men Arrested After Stolen Car Crash

Two men were arrested last night after a car crash on Lake Street, according to the Salem Police.

Natanael Plaza, 30, pictured right, and Arnaldo Rosa, 30, both of Lawrence, MA, were arrested on March 18, 2015, and charged with receiving stolen property.

According to police, officers were called to Lake Street at just before 11 p.m. for a man reporting that a vehicle had crashed onto his lawn causing damage. The occupants of the vehicle, two men, reportedly fled the area on foot after the crash.

Officers arrived at the scene and quickly learned that the vehicle was reported stolen out of Lawrence.

“Officers set up a perimeter and called for the Salem Police K9 unit to respond,” according to Lt. Joel P. Dolan of the Salem Police Department. “Officers were able to locate two males walking in the area of Karen Lane and quickly realized they were the two men involved in the accident. Both men were taken into custody without incident and transported to the Salem Police Department for processing.”

Plaza and Rosa both refused bail and were transported to the Rockingham County Jail in Brentwood. They were arraigned earlier today in Salem District Court.

According online reports, both have been in trouble with the law in the past. According to the Lowell Sun, Rosa was charged with attempted murder back in 2013.
