A pedestrian has died after being struck by a vehicle on I-95 in Dedham, Massachusetts.
State police confirm the crash took place on the southbound side of the road around 5 p.m. Sunday night. near Exit 15B.
An early investigation shows that a 56-year-old man from Walpole driving a 2014 Ford Fiesta drove a 44-year-old Roslindale woman.
Police say they are still investigating why the woman was in the traveled part of the roadway.
The Ford Fiesta driver was taken to Norwood Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Police did not release the victim’s name, pending next-of-kin notification.
All lanes on I-95 were reopened around 7:30 p.m.
