Rehoboth man charged with vehicular homicide after motorcyclist dies in crash

REHOBOTH — A 40-year-old Rehoboth man faces charges of vehicular homicide following a crash that killed a motorcyclist from Seekonk on Saturday afternoon.

Jeffery H. Fisk Jr., of Jameson Drive, is scheduled to be arraigned on charges of vehicular homicide and driving under the influence of alcohol in Taunton District Court on Monday, police said.

Saturday’s crash claimed the life of Anthony Kishy, 63, of Seekonk, who was operating a 2015 Suzuki motorcycle northeast in the area of 134 Agricultural Avenue.

According to police, Kishy’s motorcycle was struck head-on by a 1998 Dodge Ram pickup truck driven by Fisk, who was traveling southwest on Agricultural Avenue.

Kishy was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, said a spokesman for the Bristol County District Attorney’s office.

The crash was reported to emergency services around 2:38 p.m. Rehoboth police, fire and ambulance members found Kishy lying in the road, unconscious and badly injured, according to the police report. First aid was administered by the fire and ambulance crew. Kishy was pronounced dead at the scene.

Fisk was taken to Sturdy Hospital by Seekonk Fire Rescue. As a result of the initial investigation, Fisk was placed under arrest.

After being treated at the hospital, he was taken to the Rehoboth Police Department for processing and is being held on $100,040 cash bail.

An investigation into the crash is ongoing by the Rehoboth Police Department, Massachusetts State Police Crash Reconstruction Unit, the Bristol County District Attorney’s Office and the Massachusetts Medical Examiner.
