A 34-year-old Weymouth woman was sent by MedFlight helicopter to Rhode Island Hospital with serious injuries after her motorcycle collided with a pickup truck on a Route 140 exit ramp Sunday afternoon, state police said.
The woman, whose name was not released, sustained “serious but non life-threatening injuries,” Trooper Dustin Fitch said.
The 12:10 p.m. accident occurred on the Exit 11B ramp in Taunton, Fitch said.
A preliminary investigation found the motorcyclist rear-ended a Ford-250 pickup truck driven by a 34-year-old Taunton man, Fitch said.
The State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section and the State Police Crime Scene Services Section responded. The accident remains under investigation.
